Today, their 765 kV transmission line spans more than 60,000 km, making them the longest of their kind in the US. Divided into seven local operating electricity distributors, AEP and its subsidiaries provide 10% of the total load on the Eastern Interconnection grid, spanning 38 central and eastern US country.
