With about 1600 employees, this organization serves around 1.4 million customers who live across 49 states of America along with the District of Columbia. This one of the largest home warranty writing company in the United States. There are about 11,000 licensed contractors and about 45,000 technicians who work with the organization. Previously, American Home Shield was operating individually until 1989 when it got acquired by the ServiceMaster. But then again in the year 2017, ServiceMaster announced the plans to spin off the American Home Shield so that it can operate once again individually from 2018.
The products of this home warranty company has been reviewed by the Consumer Reports whose feedback was not great as they announced that the company had the highest complaints generated against them, where out of 44 reviews given by the customers, 41 were negative. And this is the reason behind the B rating of the company as given by the Better Business Bureau.
