Amtrak is basically the National Railroad Passenger Corporation who provides railroad services for a medium and long distance intercity journeys for United States as well as nine cities that are located in Canada.  The organization was founded in 1971 with their headquarters located at Washington D.C. the service region of Amtrak is quite huge as they serve in about 500 destinations that is distributed over 46 states along with three provinces of Canada. They operate more than 300 trains regularly where some of the track section allows trains to travel as fast as 240 km/h. This is one of the biggest railroad provider in the States with about 31.7 million people availed the services in 2017 and they have also generated a revenue of USD 3.3 billion. They have employed about 20,000 people to execute their operations where about 87,000 people avail the 300 trains that run on the track daily. The on-board services of the trains are divided into various classes which includes first class (which is only offered by Acela Express), Sleeper class (which provides private room type of accommodation for long distance journeys), Business class (the services vary from one train to another but basically they provide a much bigger leg space along with serving some non alcoholic beverages) and Coach class (where the seats are recliner one that comes with fold down table).
