Sales that first day totalled $300.00. Since October 1995, AutoZone has been founded there headquartered in its J.R. Hyde, III Store Support Centre (SSC), which is a 270,000-square-foot (25,000 m2), eight-story building in Downtown Memphis, Tennessee. As of 2013 there were more than 1,200 employees there.
