This is the website for the Nationwide Multi-state Licensing System and Registry, that provides its users with several kinds of tips and updates. The NMLS is a system that enables record keepinh for non-depository, financial services licensing or registration for participating state agencies like the U.S. Territories of Puerto Rico, and Guam. In these jurisdictions, NMLS is the official system for companies and individuals who desire to renew, apply for or completely surrender issued licenses that are managed through NMLS by its territorial governmental agencies. Nationwide Multi-state Licensing is the main system for licensing of mortgage companies for 58 state agencies and the only system of licensing for Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) for 59 state and territorial agencies. Over three-quarters of the states are currently managing the additional license types through this system in the money services and consumer finance industries.

The Nationwide Multi-state Licensing Policy Committee addresses the following types of issues:
