It is a car rental company that is based in Estero, Florida. It operates in about 9,700 international corporate and franchisee locations. The Hertz Corporation is known to be the second largest car rental company in US on the basis of sales, number of locations, and fleet size.

Hertz operates their services in about 150 countries that include North America, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Asia, Australia, New Zealand. The parent company of The Hertz Corporation – Hertz Global Holdings, was ranked 264^th in Forbes’ Fortune 500 list in 2014. The Hertz Corporation had become a subsidiary of Radio Corporation of America in 1967 and in 1985, it was sold to UAL Corporation which was later known as Allegis Corporation. The Hertz Corporation was sold to UAL Corporation for a whopping $587.5 million. With this deal, Hertz’s business was expanded to nearly 400,000 cars and trucks in over 120 countries across the globe. Currently, they operate in 150+ countries worldwide.
