Indeed is a worldwide employment-related search engine for job listings that was launched in November 2004. It is a subsidiary of Japan’s Recruit Co. Ltd., and has its headquarters in Austin, Texas and Stamford, Connecticut. Indeed, was co-founded by Paul Forster and Rony Kahan in 2004. The Stamford offices house the company’s sales, client services, finance and human resources teams whereas the product development takes places in Austin, Texas.

It is currently available in over 60 countries and 28 languages. In October 2010, Indeed.com surpassed Monster.com to become the website with the highest-traffic related to jobs in the United States. Their website collects job listings from thousands of websites and job boards, staffing firms, associations, and company career pages.

In the year 2005, Indeed, launched a beta version of their “pay-per-click job advertising network”. The services provided by Indeed-include job search, recommended job, job trends, resume upload, storage. They also provide a way to keep track of Industry trends, salary search, job competition index as well as forums. In 2011, Indeed-let those who were seeking jobs to apply directly to jobs from their site. It also started offering resume posting and sharing services.

It is currently ranked the #1 job site in the world with over 20 million unique visitors every month from 60+ countries.
