The Orlando Utilities Commission is a municipally owned public utility that is responsible for providing water and electricity to the citizens of Orlando, Florida, with service also being provided to other areas such as Orange County and St. Cloud, Florida. It was established in the year 1923, a quite long time ago, by a special act of the Florida Legislature, and is probably the second largest municipal utility there is in the entirety of Florida. OUC is also responsible for owning and operating the Curtis H. Stanton Energy Center, which is located in East Orange County.
